At DF.GYM you don’t have to be a pro-fighter to get the fitness benefits of real Muay Thai training. Our fun and exciting Muay Thai Fitness class is programmed as a non-contact one hour group session that has you learning real Muay Thai combos from professional trainers. Participants can enjoy the fun and challenge of Martial Arts without the stress of injury or the pressure to compete. With state of the art safety equipment and fully qualified Muay Thai, kickboxing and boxing instructors, with real fight experience, it’s an unmatched combat workout… And all this while hanging out with an awesome group of likeminded members and trainers that help push you to your limits, there really is no better way to stay in shape.

CROSS TRAINING

A FUN AND CHALLENGING STRENGTH & CONDITIONING PROGRAM FOR EVERYONE

One of our original classes since 2009, our Cross Training program builds strong bodies that are resilient, look good and move even better!

Our classes are packed with exercises to help develop lean muscle and cardiovascular fitness for a variety of athletes and every day people. We have participants from all walks of life and of varying levels of skills and abilities that regularly train side be side at DF.GYM and all workouts can be scaled up or down according to your abilities and our coaches are very hands on, making sure everyone is working in a safe and efficient manner and getting the best results possible. Push-ups, running, pull-ups, squats, box jumps, deadlifts, wall balls… the list goes on, it’s constantly varied to keep your mind fresh and your body guessing. Expect to be challenged by the workouts, educated by our coaches and supported by your fellow DF members. Choose one of the drop down options below to learn more about different entry points into the program.
NEW TO CROSS TRAINING
If you haven’t completed at least 3 months Functional Fitness training including CrossFit, F45 or similar, or want to start back slowly and freshen up on your technique, then join our Cross Training Foundations program for NEWBIES! We’ll teach you all the primary movements you need to be successful and safe in group class as well as a better understanding of the ‘WHY’ behind everything you are doing. Each foundations cycle consists of 10x 1 hour classes which are capped at 6 students. All the major lifts and movements will be taught from scratch with an emphasis on technical proficiency and can be scaled up or down for your existing skill level.

OPEN GYM

USE OUR FACILITY TO IT’S FULL POTENTIAL TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP

Our open gym times are not instructed but they are supervised by a trainer and are a great opportunity to do some extra training. You can hone in on your skills, work on your weaknesses or maybe do some active recovery and roll out. It’s also often the time when trainers do their own training or shift workers and uni students come and catch up on a missed workout in a time that suits them better. You will often see Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Olympic Weightlifting, extra strength training etc. and sometimes all happening at once in different areas of the gym. We have a big facility and we encourage people to use it to its full capacity. People are welcome to use the gym in a scheduled Open Gym time slots, or in any time there is a scheduled class on the timetable, as long as they are not using equipment that is needed for a class. e.g. If there is a Sparring or Junior Muay Thai class on in the group fitness area you are welcome to use the cross training area, bag area or weight lifting platforms etc as long as you are not interfering with the running of any class. Come and be part of the gym culture, even when you can’t make a class.

Training Experience Necessary

As this class is not instructed by a trainer, our coaching staff will do an informal assessment to ensure you are training is a safe manner. If you want our experienced coaching staff to write you a program that you can complete during Open Gym times then you need to book in with one our Head Trainers to get you started on the road to safe training habits and proper technique.
